The Harpenden Sinfonia is an amateur orchestra that was started in 2023 as a way to enable people to enjoy playing larger-scale classical works, but without the commitment of regular weekly rehearsals. The format of the rehearsals will be over the course of one day, with a full run-through of the work at the end. There are no set seats or players, so please feel free to sign up for any of the play days. We welcome members/players who would like to tackle significant pieces of music, without the pressure of a concert performance. We aim to involve the players in the choice of repertoire for future rehearsals and play throughs. So, please get in touch if you are c. Grade 6+ and have had some ensemble playing experience.
